Give them a call and ask for a quote.
I have been there twice for 1) brake problem 2) overheating problem and they have solved it for me. So I am quite satisfied with their service.
Actually there are quite a number of workshops in the area. But hark tayar is recommended by my frens so that is why i go there. If other place scared that I will get . Anyway I see singapore cars coming in for service every time i have been there so i guess they are doing well and their customers are satisfied.

What checks do they do for 40k?
I took up and oil change package there and they had the simple check list of
1) brake fluid check
2) streering fluid check
3) radiator water check only
what they do is top up and when oil is change they go drive one round to see if car running ok.
I had to tell them my car problems for them to solve.

Was told there are quite a few in Johor alone.
Other branches all over the Peninsular.
Some of the mechs may not be very knowledgable,
especially with Conti marques.
They do as told and do not make any recomendation,
even when asked. The simple answer is always,
if you want can install - referring to spark plugs, oils, etc.
They do take pride in whatever they do.
Once I during change of oil filter, the unit I brought in
was of the incorrect model. The mech took the trouble
to clean up the old filter with kerosene, water, blow dry,
then soak in Mobil One, blow dry again, then re-oil
before re-installing. All these extra work at NO additional
labour charge. The mech took it upon himself to do it
without the customer asking.

the first visits to the workshop at 1K/5K/10K servicing? There should be a
table showing what to Inspect/Change/Top Up at periodic intervals/distance travelled.
The general rule of thumb when servicing in JB is to bring in the parts.
They are more costly there. If you need to change brake pads/disks,
wheel bearings, spark plugs, oils, fuel and oil filters, engine mount, etc, buy them from
your regular favourite spare parts shops at AV/Ubi/Sin Min before you
cross the causeway.
Telling the workshop mech to do a "40K servicing" will not do. You gotta be
more specific. It helps if you're driving a Proton. They know this brand inside out.
But for lesser known makes, especially European models, they're less confident.
