Ixat 1st Gear December 11, 2006 Share December 11, 2006 Hi guys, Insurance due for renewal next month. Received 2 quotes which I would like to use for advise AIG with $20k PA Premium - $1900 Excess - $2500 - Authorised workshop only - Car lesser than 3 yrs old can go back Agent. NTUC with $50k PA Premium - $1500 Excess - $0 - Authorised workshop via Tender - Car lesser within warranty can go back to Agent but with T&C Any rules, T&C that is pegged to AIG when going back to Agent? Read that it may be more of a hassle to claim with with NTUC. But this hassle will only be experienced when I claim against myself only right? All other scenarios is between me and 3rd party's ins coy or 3rd party with my ins coy ? If i am ready to put up with the hassle, the significant difference in excess is enough to justify to go with NTUC? Thanks for advising! ↡ Advertisement

Ixat 1st Gear December 11, 2006 Author Share December 11, 2006 Yes bro please. Would like the contact so I can get more quotes. Any issues with China insurance claims and going back to agent? I have "heard" all this smaller insurance company offer low premium but when want to claim its almost next to impossible. Just want to verify from someone who is actually using them. Cheers

Hiphiphoray 6th Gear December 11, 2006 Share December 11, 2006 Why dont u ask Guyer or quotation. I just renewal via him recently. Age: 32, Lancer 1.6, $979/- nia. Through India Insurance. when i approach II direct, its a less attractive quote. I think age doesnt matters a lot in insurance........1.9k is kinda high. So as with the smaller coys...no prob with claiming, agent, etc? A little concern cuz my car is 1yr old only. Cheers
Ixat 1st Gear December 11, 2006 Author Share December 11, 2006 I think age is the main consideration apparently. Think 26 and under...they charge exorbitantly and never in 3 digits premoum! And 27 onwards can start seeing 3 digits premiums! Saw it for the 2 cases of my gf's bros haha
