Rubber smell from carpets

Hi guys, I need advise from u guys on how to remove rubber smell inside my car.

Few months back, i brought a new set of 3A carpet for my car but the problem is, i couldn't remove the rubber smell from the carpets.

 

I tried a few ways but still couldn't help.

I had tried buying those air-con cleaner selling at esso which come in green or yellow can oso useless.

I even brought a few type of air-freshers to cover up the smell but it only last for the first few days den the smell reuturn again.

I had oso tried soaking the carpets with car shampoo oso couldn't help!!

 

I thought the smell will go out itself after a few months of usage but i'm wrong..

 

Anyone of ur has the similar type of carpets n share the same experience?

How do u guys remove the rubber smell permanent?

 

The smell is kinda strong when u haf park ur car overnight but the smell will go off when u start driving..

that kinda rubber smell hard to go off...

 

until regulary wash and sun...the thing then go off...

cos of the rubber coating to prevent rubber cracking... so smelly...

 

later then i change to 3M carpet... save all my trouble...

mine is parked 24/7 sun... 2-3 months smell totally gone..

I guess if i still can't solve it, i might consider to get 3M instead but its abit too costly..

R u using 3M carpets or those replica like 3A?

Mine is those 3A type.

 

My car is oso parking under hot sun everyday but the smell is there.

No smell with my 3M mats too. Maybe it's the quality of the 3A mats.

 

Sometimes it's good to pay slightly more for better quality stuffs. The $ u spent and the hassle u went thru' trying to cover the smell are juz not worth it.

3A carmats.....guess some problems with the quality of rubber. I'm using 3M currently, no smell.

Guess i got to believe how come 3M is alot so ex than all others brand of carpets..

Cos my driver side carpet already give way n i used less than few months..

Actually its consider average quality but just that i can't stand the rubber smell..

i'm considering the LUNE brand now...heard it's made in Japan. can custom cut too. anybody has any comments on this brand?

Yours 3A mats doesn't have the heel plate is it? Must get driver mat with heel plate one.
