Neutral Newbie

Actually Harriers also come in 3L. And besides engine capacity, there are quite a few differences.

lexus falls under toyota hence the data reflected on LTA, but vehicle model already states LX rx300, so u can be assured it's a genuine lexus.

in fact lexus models are surveyed by LTA and customs omv under the Toyota brand name and not lexus brandname, therefore u don't find lexus listed in the list of best selling brands, it just adds on to toyota sales.

Hi Chemz, take a closer look at all the wordings on the glass panels and you can tell whether it's a Lexus or Toyota Harrier. If it's the latter, you will see the word TOYOTA sandblasted on the glass.

How to blame the consumers when toyota is to blame for causing those confusion in the 1st place? Simply make a unqiue model under lexus and solved the problem. to many, lexus is another toyota, perhaps tailored more for the high end market.

anyway, imho, how to blame others for mistaken lexus as toyota wannabe if toyota still makes lexus? better sell it or jv with other manufacturer.

the latest lexus models, the IS250, the GS 300 and the LS460 have no toyota equivalents

Lexus is the luxury vehicle division of Japanese car maker Toyota Motor Corporation.

The log cards of lexus vehicles in singapore are listed as toyota.

Lexus brand name vehicles are sold in North America, the Middle East, Europe, Africa, Latin America, Asia and Oceania; in the United States, Lexus is the highest-selling brand of luxury cars. In 2005, the Lexus marque launched in Japan, marking the continued global expansion of the luxury division. Previously lexus models were sold as toyota cars in Japan prior to 2005.

you will never see toyota versions of lexus cars again....

I don't think there's a mistake. Vehicle make to me means who is the manufacturer and in this case, it is Toyota. Lexus is a brand under Toyota.

It doesn't really matter if it is a toyota or lexus since they come from the same factory (supplier). more important is to see if they meet the specs for Singapore condition.

eg lexus has better quality windows than toyota (domestic japan model)in the case of LS430. However, there may be more extras that dealer may not even know of in the toyota model. becareful alot of lots of japanese instructions.

Hope this is helpful
