Liping24 Neutral Newbie May 8, 2007 Share May 8, 2007 Dear expert, How do you add additional sub to a Mark levinson(14 speakers) system on a lexus IS250? I got a crazy friend who likes 'killer bass' to his music. And he is looking to add one hugh sub to his boot to UP the bass level on those disco/techno music, he listens to. The marklevison may be tuned more for total music refinement, so the bass is still short of Boom Boom shake the room kind. Any one with experiences? (Please don't ask him to change the entire system or to change another car.) ↡ Advertisement
Spinworkx Clutched May 8, 2007 Share May 8, 2007 I'm not familiar with the ML system in Lexus but i do believe it's it anything similar to the McIntosh of Subarus, it's all propritory and the amps don't allow addition of a sub. He might have to use a hi-lo converter to tap into the existing system to add an additinal amp for a sub.... But hehe, OT a little, the IS250 is a darn nice car....i can't imagine a thumping huge sub in the rear blasting away in that car....somehow i just picture that car as a refine easy listening type of car...quite different from the "chiong car" of the IS200 :) ↡ Advertisement
