I was in my friend's car when she sped past a red light at the first junction after entering from ECP Exit 2B. I don't think there were any red light cameras there but not sure if there were any ambushes at that moment. Just like what I had experienced some time back, she is very worried now.

Based on your driving experiences, any chances that she will be caught?

This is just a feeling... As she thinks negatively, worry will overcome her... Overtime, this feeling will subside... And tell her to think positively....

I use this road once in a while, i also have a urge to speed too. Cos after ECP, and coming into this straight road, its kinda difficult to reduce the speed.

many ppl only starts to worry after something happen. if she decide to run for it tat mean she dont mind paying $200 and 12 points. she is lucky she didnt knock down anyone turning right. see so many near miss because of ppl chiong red lights....

You could make her more worried, so she won't dare speed anywhere again.

tsk tsk.... she shouldn'e be worry whether got caught, she should be thankful she didn't cause any accident man. think u should tell ur friend not to speed instead of assuring her that she didn't get caught.

There's a sign there that says "Speeding kills". You never know who will be ambushing there.

I drive pass almost daily. Dun think there is a camera. But please do not speed there cos many heavy vehicles and sometime the uncle wait there with a handy cam.

people like your friend should be shot dead twice, for reckless driving, beating a red light is one of the most dangerous traffic offences, in my opinion as bad as drink driving.

the traffic light is there for a purpose. haf she thought that she could haf hit another road user for dashing thru? i wonder wat the driving instructor had installed in her mind. fancy worried abt being summon rather then to reflect on her actions.

Unlikely. That's my usual exit home.. Once in a while, road block are held there. Other than that, just whack. :) So far so good for me.

Hello everyone, yes she was feeling really bad about the dangerous act after that. Although I am also not in favour of such acts but seeing her kept sobbing and saying that she will never do it again, I decided to post this thread here. Hopefully can find some consolation for her.

 

So the verdict is that TPs don't chase offenders these days and she was very likely to have been caught?
