Vit4wd 1st Gear August 23, 2007 Share August 23, 2007 It is an open secret that that was a computer glitch in the last hour. Many last minute bids from the 3 big players failed to get through. So now you all know who determines COE prices and who are the culprits driving up COE prices.

Ahyoo2002 2nd Gear August 24, 2007 Author Share August 24, 2007 Or is it purposely not keying by the big 3? Maybe a crash is needed to bring in the interest back to car market?
Djcoolmax 2nd Gear August 24, 2007 Share August 24, 2007 Source: http://www.carbuyer.com.sg/?s=news_main&id=459 Aug 23, 2007, by Colin Yong August round 2: Mystery surrounds Cat A price crash The COE price for small cars dropped by more than half this week, but no-one can agree on why it happened... COE BIDDING RESULTS this week sent shockwaves through the local car industry, as the Category A certificate (for cars up to 1.6-litres and taxis) shed more than half its value to close at $8,118. What made the Cat A result all the more intriguing was the fact that the premiums for Cat B (for cars above 1.6-litres) and the Open Cat (which is transferable and can be used for any kind of vehicle) remained relatively stable. The Cat B COE was $1,991 cheaper than before at $16,010, while the Open Cat dropped just $701 to $17,302. These falls were more or less in line with general expectations
