Actually Toyota is already a player in the TC'ed market.

I'm not referring to the old GT4 Celica either :)

We're talking about one time Car of the Year Contender

the Good ol', but oft forgotten Daihatsu YRV Turbo

http://motoring.iafrica.com/carsinaction/pcoty/414506.htm

Toyota owns Daihatsu.

Share the same parts bins.

Most of the current engines found in Daihatsus are actually from Toyota.

So the YRV Turbo.

Is actually a 1.3L Vitz VVTI TC'd engine.

Already available on our roads.

(Well no more i think, STS no longer imports them)

dont think this one got strengthen internals. so no pt low boost. after market also can do it attaining the same bhp. moreover should be cheaper to buy a stock yaris and do the same.

Which part do mean think it's weak? The look? It has 150 bhp and 190 healthy torque.. The only weak part I can see the peak torque comes very late, 4,800rpm..

P.S: Pretty light too, 1060kg

but this turbochage look weak.

look like sss
