Disadvantages of Sprint Booster

Hi guys,

 

was thinking of installing this in my ride. Read ard tht it's a signal amplifier and it improves engine 's responsiveness but if it's such a good upgrade why didn't the manufacturer install it in the first plc?

 

Are there any drawbacks on this option?

sprint boosters are car makes and models specifically designed......get one tat fit yer ride. Manual rides r okay, but autos may affect the gearbox ecu.

It makes your throttle more responsive. It doesn't actually adds more power to the engine.

 

Why manufacturers don't do this? Because not everything wants or needs to drive like a maniac.

It will not affect the GB ECU. It will however affect your FC though.

of course sb will affect FC.......more power equals more fuel resulted from recent sprintbooster acquired HRF syndrome.

 

only cars with e-throttle will benefit.........had one in my ride too, shiock!

u can still practise LRF, but this time it will be extra feather-light right foot.

 

but with sb acquired HRF syndrome........difficult, leh.

Not benefit but only those with E throttle will work.

yup, only cars with e-throttle will benefit from sb.......becuz the sb is fitted like an adaptor to the cable/plug of the e-throttle pedal.

depends on ur focus is the mark 1 version or mark 2.

mark 2 ver is the current newest look on the road. - then u can install sprint booster.

 

if u like me. ur car look like mine on my logo. then mark 1 ver. - then u cant.

cos my ver is on cable throttle. so call wire pull cable.

 

sprint booster is to reduce or minimise the lag from electric throttle.

so tat u feel pick up better for original E throttle laggy,

It will initially , but after a while when you have get use to the 'new' throttle position , your fc will be back as before.

 

It is basically a signal amplifier use to overcome the 'lag' in the drive-by-wire throttle use in many new car nowadays.(i.e you step hard on the pedal , the engine only responded maybe 1~2second later .With SB the respond is instantaneous)
