Run Flat Tyres

Main reason why tyre companies discourage repair is because once the run flat tyre get punctured the sidewalls take the weight of the car and pending how long you drive without pressure may compromise the sidewall hence safety may get compromised if repaired.

 

However if you detect the puncture and pump air quickly enough you can retain your sidewall integrity, either way internal patching it recommended for rft not only because its a better seal but it also allows the tyre shop to inspect the sidewall for any rupture (see below)

 

 

i think we had 1 very good picture shown clearly how was the internal damaged or injured looks like,

from the pictures if 1 punctured tire was repaired from outside (those sticky worm or insert repaired) will risk of this if continue use .

that's way if you have to do the external repair please ask the shop people to remove the repaired tire for internal inspection.

Nope. Doesnt come with RFT tyres as standard.

I have no experience with Michelin RFTs, but I was quote around 260-290 for Bridgestone and Pirelli 17" RFTs. Managed to find a source last month that charged me $230 for Pirelli Cinturato P7 RFT 225/50/R17. PM me if you want to have the contact.

pirelli p7 cint RFT can get easily-300 buks i think

 

but michelin RFT  very rare i think,

It's quoted by the authorised dealer so I will assume its jacked up as always as opposed to go out to those outside tyre shops.

Thats why not much people mentioning or using 

 

PML using Bmw Star tyres of Pirelli, Goodyear commonly but expensive too 

 

But does come with 1 for 1 warranty coverage

car Dealer are not tire specialist , they are Providing you service to save your time (time = Money)

if you really wants the Specialist you need to go and look around market who are knowledgible and expert in tires and are able to provide you after sales serive like regular pressue pump / rotation / re balance and most importantly Tire repaire by recommended way .
