Rental of landed property

Hi all

Am a newbie in property, not sure where to ask so back to the usual place.

My aged parents thinking of renting out their newly renovated 2-floor semi-d (about 3k sqf), to move in to my place to help take care of my baby [:p] , as well as getting some pocket money [thumbsup] .

Is it easily to find a tenant for a landed property? It's located near Bishan MRT.

Thanks all for the advice again.

Think it's easier to ask a agent to do it on the behalf of you [nod][nod][nod]

My friend rented a couple of his landed property out [inlove][inlove][inlove] and is on contract basis i.e 1 year, 2 years ... etc [nod][nod][nod] to those Ang Mos ...

But at times, the tenant might dragged the monthly payment during the last few months if he is the 'Chow Kwan' aka smelly type ... [:|]

Suggest you do not rent to groups of students, or to companies looking to use your house as worker accomodation/ equipment storage even though they may be willing to pay more. These will trash your newly renovated house in double quick time. [knife] And you will get no love from your (ex) neighbours too [:p]

I agree with you.

Expats will sometimes want to have dogs, esp if its a landed property with garden. So must be prepared.

Also, for landed property need to state clearly that the tenant is to maintain the garden, esp if got carpet grass or nice landscaping plants. Cos many of them don't bother and the whole place looks like a jungle after a year. [laugh]
