Hi bro/sis,

Got an Ariston built-in oven that's not been used for 4 years.. Recently, I use it to toast some nuts and set temp at 100 degrees. It was ok for 30 minutes and suddenly short-circuit the house.. From then on, it will short-circuit everytime I turn it on.

(1) Any idea what could have caused it?

(2) Any recommendation for a table-top Grill-oven (for simple use, hardly bake)?

Thanks! [thumbsup]

I find ppl like u very funny.

U rarely use an oven. Now spoilt still wanna get new one? So that can seat there for another 4 years b4 u wanna toast some nuts? [dizzy][laugh]

I suggest u use a stove and a frying pan.

Nowadays ppl dun know how to cook nevermind but buy electrical appliances to "bai swee" is really ridiculous.

Supercharged

dun worry...this is normal...

last time, i used to make char-siew, honey baked ribs, cookies then stopped using it...

hv same prob once when i tried to heat up pizza...

called the repair man in not once but twice...

gave advice that ocassionally must switch it on to prevent moisture fm gathering "inside"

but accordg to my housing agent, she said that if it happened again, no need to call repair man to come n kertok ourselves..per trip 200 plus hor...

just switch it on n dun worry if it trips...continue to do so until the condensation inside dissipates...

hope my advice can help u to save marnee for cny

This may be an Ariston thing... I have an ariston oven too... after about 5 yrs of occasioanl use recently trips on start ups ... I learnt that u do the temp gradually..

ie dont start with 200 degrees ... warm it up slowly... increasing the temp when the warming lights go off...

Anyways for me heng i am moving house and getting a new 3 in one oven...
