Theoldjaffa Hypersonic May 24, 2008 Share May 24, 2008 hi all, i'm looking at damping and height adjustable coilovers for normal street driving only. not for track. main priority is ride should be firm, but not be too harsh. serviceability is a plus point. any recommendations, experiences for the following? pricing appreciated too. =) for lancer cs3. 1) D2 Pro-CSIII (comfort series) 2) BC 3) Tein 4) Tomei 5) Tanabe ↡ Advertisement
Valtino Neutral Newbie May 24, 2008 Share May 24, 2008 hi, my friend is drivin a lancer cs3 and he is using BC so far i feel its very comfortable not hard not soft just right for tein its alright for me only its quite pricy. Boyboy 1st Gear May 25, 2008 Share May 25, 2008 i always had this impression that the term "comfort coilovers" is an oxymoron. i'm using BC, but can't help u much as my ride is diff from urs.. feels very harsh to me, but that's more reassuring than wallowing around in a camry during corners for instance . of course for MY trunk roads, suffer all the way during one of my trips to WS, met a malay chap driving corolla G9. he's on tein coilovers, the comfort series. he says the ride is good, handling has improved also. for BC, i'm not so sure there are different ranges between more comfort or more performance-oriented models. but i see tein adverts in magazine and they have a wide range. price probably steeper than BC cos of branding u want firmer ride for street, ever considered changing ur shocks alone? sports shocks got damping adjustable ones leh. but that's only if u not intending to lower ur ride
Zolidlim Neutral Newbie June 16, 2008 Share June 16, 2008 Hi, actually there various of brands out there, from cheaper range to higher range. I looking for comfortable ones as well, thus narrowed to these: Tein, Cusco, Tanabe and KW. Afterwhich I compared prices and FR. Ended up I go for Cusco. I used it before and it was relatively not harsh, in fact was quite soft.
