I wonder if anyone out there got burned terribly with their investment products or holding on to stocks and see them keep sinking deeper and deeper like no end. I got a friend who lost $30,000 actual lost (not paper lost) because he bought the T-bond on the Lehman bank. sweatdrop.gif

The vote include paper lost, if you know what this mean (e.g. stock price falling below your purchase value but have not sold yet).

Just to encourage those suffering huge paper lost now....remember those who bought in the high of 1997 and later see their stock crushing down like no tomorrow, if they hold on and sold in 2007, not only they have no lost but their profit almost doubled including those dividends they had (provided the stocks they bought did not go bankrupt).

Keep hearing my bosses and collegues say "straits asia" no eyes to see liao. (sorry if i spell wrongly [laugh] )

Never ask them abt thier losses, but i heard its 5 figures! [dead][dead][dead]

sometimes i also wonder... whether its better off for normal folks to put in the bank and let inflation eat away their money at 8%, than to lose big time in equities + inflation.... shakehead.gif

Putting in banks is as bad as the annual puny interest that the banks give is not enough to cover the inflation %

The value of the dollar keeps dropping

My portfolio now only 1/3 my buy price... [sweatdrop]

Just have to ride it out...worst for those that trade margins and keep getting margin calls!!!
