Both Amsoil & Redline after 7,000 & 8,000 having the same effect? I thought Redline is Group 5 where Amsoil is Group 4.

Maybe just get something reasonable suit me.

If c-----e would be good maybe can try.Wonder how much the 5W30 cost.

i used redline before, good oil temp on track just that it burns out a little more than other brands.

No comments for amsoil as never use b4.

If you're just for normal useage can use other brands than these 2.

Redline is Group V, POE base stock

Amsoil is Group IV, PAO base stock

PAO doesn't "stick" as well to metal as POE, so they often are mixed with Group III (mineral) or Group V. In terms of "quality", POE is better than PAO right from the start. POE also cleans out the internals, giving you clean engine.

To be honest, if you are not doing 9k RPM shifts 90% of the time, these are overkill. Simple Mobil 1 can do the trick. Engines have known to last 1million miles (1.6 million km) on mineral oil. the key is regular oil and filter changes and making sure maintenance schedule is followed and using the right viscosity.

Use Amsoil before oil change and using Redline now

Amsoil ~ Nothing special, just a good long lasting oil, oil level same after 6 months..

Redline ~ Give you a "light" feeling during initial use, have not reach the "after 7-8K" mark yet, so no idea about how long it last.. Have not check oil level yet..

Anway I would be required 4 bottle for my servicing. Is either I get one of them at the following price.

Redline = $17.50/bottle

Amsoil = $15/bottle.

Of course c-----e is the cheapest for those who want to save on thier pocket. 5 litres of 5W40 cost below $30 I think.

I used redline 5-30 on my 5 yrs old N16 up to d point i sold it. I changed d oil every 10k. Engine oil level did not drop over time. After initial switch to redline, it is more willing to hit 150km/h. Before that, it takes a lot of effort.

Currently using Amsoil Dominator 5w20 on my 3.5 years old civic..110,000Km on mileage..

Feel is much better..now is about 5K on this oil..Consumption is better as well..I do rev till 6 to 7k rpm occasionally..engine not noisy as compared to some of the oil i have tried..

I used Redline 5w20 before...My pick is amsoil dominator..Price wise I think is the same
