What car shampoo do you all use?

I use Armorall Wash & Wax.. Not bad.. I just started DIY-ing myself after moving to Sengkang, the Carwash at the Esso station on Punggol Rd is not up to my expectation.. So I rather save money, and spend a bit more time DIY.. :D

 

There are 101 brands to choose from, nice to see so many recommendations in here.. Maybe can try try after my current bottle is used up..

walao! i thought i said i help you wash your car???

i will also use different cloth one..

table cloth~ floor cloth la~ dish washing cloth la~

 

then for the finishing touch i will use newspaper to make it squeky clean.

yay!

 

i scared later you make many many micro-scratches... [dead]

hi all, i am new to DIY,

as for armorall wash and wax,

can i use it to clean the windscreen and windows too?

or just metal surfaces?

do you use only ONR or when there is a need? I use ONR (well, tried once so far) and the method of washing takes getting used to but i think if i do it regularly, it would be second nature like washing car normally.

 

in terms of added shine or less marring,scratches; i find that its the same as normal washing.

but in terms of using much,much less water, well, 2 buckets with ONR wash as opposed to 5 buckets (2 buckets plus estimated 3 when using hose for prewash rinse, rinse off soap, etc).

but is there a exact method to wash the car?

 

What are the equipments i need? What type of cloth? Sponge ?

Will be my 1st attempt tomorrow! [sweatdrop]

2 pails..1 scoop..1 shampoo..1 wash mitt..1 drying towel..

 

1. rinse car with water..

2. wash with shampoo..

3. rinse away shampoo with water

4. dry the car..

last time i use wash n wax from other brands to clean entire car.....u avoid windscreen but the foam will eventually flow over it mah.

 

doesnt cause any harm but ppl here said the wax may cause the wipers to judder?

 

nowadays i use car wash w/o the wax.
