Tan Chong Service Package

Hi guys, may I know if it is worth signing up to Tan Chong's Service Package? Or should I be looking at outside workshops for my servicing?

 

Tan Chong charges $1091 (complete with GST) for 4 consecutive services (for me: 40k, 50k, 60k & 70k). Is this cheap enuff?

not cheap, only 40k cost 300+, other 100 to 200 only, exclude the most expensive 80k

Does Nissan extend the warranty period if one take up the maintenance package?

Or is it just purely for changing of engine oil/filter/check water level/check brake pad kind of package? Meaning if needs to change bushings / O2sensor, wheel bearing, etc still have to fork out $$$ for the parts!

 

If just purely the soutine kind of 40km/ 60km kind of Servicing, then it does not seem to be 'worth' it.

Pachage B semi-major is $349

Package C major is $422

 

Assuming your car is 1600cc and below.

 

40k uses pack C

50k and 70k use pack A

60k uses pack B

 

so total is $1131. Total savings is $40. I personally think it is not worth. Also if you sign up you will need to use the in-house engine oil. I'd rather pay by per service and have more flexibility.

ya, timing chain no need to change one, unless it starts to emit noise because of wear and tear. I drove one of my previous ride till 10 years and covered about 250,000km, timing chain also never change.

I think it gives you a piece of mind when u sign up the package. When there is a need to change brake pad and other stuffs, it is covered under the package (nissan called it NPMP). And when u service yr car with Tan Chong, anything happen you can go back and bang table. Maybe when car gets older then start to send it to outside for servicing lor...
