As an educated elite, she enjoys special market subsidy and discount for her offence.

Moral of story: Must study hard in order to be subjected under a preferential set of laws.

I strongly agreed to this as i hv seen many cases in newspaper. Always the rich n famous or even the highly educated get lighter sentence than a commoner. [thumbsdown]

I feel disguised and outraged, our world class judiciary can have such great difference in judgment.

So who is the kangaroo that passed the wrong sentence. I feel Miss Lim should just quietly donate her money to the death pillion rider Miss Melania Melaniawatithe 's family, instead of charity and not publish it in the news.

The donation to charity only make Miss Lim feel better but not the death, the pains, the sorrows suffered.

I can also make a donation if I am happy.

I seconded that, donation shall go to victim family instead of charity. [hur]

Singapore law must be harsh on those who break the traffic law...

Just like it treat the same aginst the drug offencers......

Hard sentences and heavy fines...

People will start to wake up...

If not more and more people is going to injure and die if these

so call drivers claimed that they were foolish and careless at that moment of time.

At the end, who is suffer...??

The accuse have guilt only in heart,

But the victim has physical pains and inner pains....in long term...

sign........why the verdict is so light????

It seems that the sentence is lightened because of technicality, but end of the day, it is the victim who suffers injustice.

Singapore government is not enforcing the law bidding power...

It has been publized for so long that no drink driving, no using handphone while driving,

no speeding...yet there are some people who still do it and try their luck...

at the end if somebody die due to these people carelessness, how???

Only one day sentence and $1000 fine???

It is the driving 's responsiblilties to control the vehicle with eyes open and mind open....with catious..

If not the vehicle is the killer weapon.
