It is not a matter of affordability, but rather about putting your money wisely.

Why do some people drive a Picanto when they can afford to buy something better then?

Boils down to personal preferences.

the road tax and insurance is already so high compared to the half yearly maintenance fee, frankly i think to save on the maintenance cost is penny wise pound foolish.

thanks 'mr picanto' for your englightenment

indeed able to afford a lexus of 150k and also

indeed able to afford a lexus with an annual road tax of 3100 and annual insurance of 1700 after 55 percent ncd should not bother to find cheaper option

on servicing.

now i realise in this forum only those driving cheap car can have the rights to ask for alternative, rich people are born to be slaughter.

Bro, chill... This forum has several types of members... Some are mature, and some are at the other end of the pole. So, let those immature one say whatever they want. I think majority of the members here know that he is just trying to create some entertainment for us.

there are many types of rich people.. for example, there are rich people living in private property but put their parents in old folks home. there are also stingy rich people. of course you are welcomed to find a suitable workshop for your lexus.

bro i am cool,

A car brand by itself does not reflect a person wealth, and likewise driving a lexus does not mean i cannot sting on non-essential items.

lexus is by no means a brand that turn head.

In the first place, a car forum is a common place to share knowledge to get the best deal and not a place to critise individual characters.

I suppose most of us are very mature, when we know someone drive a picanto, most of us will not say : "why buy such a cheapo car, might as well take mrt".

(such comments carry same weight as saying, why buy lexus but cannot afford borneo motor servicing and come in to this car forum to ask for cheaper alternatives)

anyway hope this arguement end here.

check out the recommendations in the Lexus forum and see what fellow users recommend, that is usually a very good source.

another place I've heard of is MBM Wheelpower at Sin Min, they do many higher end cars like Merc, BMW etc. My friend services his Merc there.
