Kb27 Supersonic October 6, 2009 Share October 6, 2009 i tot its better to use distilled water for radiator? wont the alkaline water corrode the metal parts? I was joking. But I do know that coolant when it turned acidic will eat the metal parts. I don't think alkaline water will. That's why you need to change your coolant every year or two. The better water I think is de-ionised water. Some premix comes with deionised water. ↡ Advertisement

Xtrocious 1st Gear October 6, 2009 Share October 6, 2009 (edited) Hi, It's call Antioxident water ionizer. The technology actually come from Japan and I'm currently using this system from Marvello. It works by splitting the normal tap water into Alkaline base for drinking and Acidic base for washing. Few years back I got constant joint pains and gout attack problem due to high blood uricacid. I tried to control my diet by cutting down intakes of high purines food and the result was no good. My problem of joint pains and frequent gout attack was not solved until by chance I come across this product. After consuming the alkaline water for about 2 weeks my joint pain suddenly disappeared and ever since then I got no more gout attack and my uricacid level back to normal. So far this machine really works for me and there are many health benefits I get from this mechine after drinking the alkaline water produce from the machine :) Yup, I read that alkaline water or food that is alkaline in nature can help reduce gout... A quick relief is to drink sodium bicarbonate (baking soda or Eno) to neutralise the uric acid... Eating cherries (anti-inflammatory) also will help Anyway, I am also keen to try the Marvello - will pop by Kemp Trading for a try :) Edited October 6, 2009 by Xtrocious

The alkaline water function is not just alkalinity alone but the ions as well. Coming from a background in life sciences, i tend to appreciate the science behind to create such water. Seems that it is well documented by Japan and Korea to treat chronic issues. Further checks on alkaline water technology reveal that the Japanese and korean goverments endorse the technology as a medical producing substances... meaning its considered as a medical device if use but without side effects as with western meds. You could look for Gary or Ivan if you need further help or clarification. Hope it helps. Gkbt
Samuel999 Neutral Newbie July 5, 2010 Share July 5, 2010 pls the kangen, jupiter, enegac etc brands are very expensive, they not worth the cost you paid. what's more, water ionizers should replace the filters timely, but the filters from the above brands are extremely high. my friends who bought water ionizers from this website: www.homay.cn with really reasonalble price, but the machine works perfect for two years already, i think this brands deserves to test. if i am not wrong, my friend he take the model 816 with color lcd dsiplay,ph shows etc at about USD 400, he took four pcs, and i shared one unit from him also. machines seems good here. and i get the filters from this company with only dollars of money. it's a happy to share with you this news! Byond 1st Gear July 5, 2010 Share July 5, 2010 (edited) I am having a RO water filter system at home. Cost me approx. S$2,000 or slightly around there. not sure on this akaline system or whatsoever... just that, when I purchase this RO system, I have seen some testing done on the water that is coming straight out of the taps... The TDS thing present on our tap water vs the water coming out from the RO system. (Total Dissolve Solid).... this more or less convince me to purchase the system one of the reasons why i purchase this RO system is that, my mum, traditionally boils water without fail at 4.30am. This have become a routine affair without fail for the past 50 years until she getting old... imagine her to do transfer of water from kettle to the water bottles in refrigerator, then from boiler to kettle... that almost 3 to 4 litres per routine. 5936 1st Gear July 5, 2010 Share July 5, 2010 When you need filter change, you will feel the pain. few hundred $$ to replace. I have seen people throwing away their diamond at lift lobby. For me I used traditional filters. 2 mechanical + 1 charcoal filters. I connected 3 x9" cartridges filters below my wash basin. First filter-- 10micron Second filter-- 5 micron or below final filter-- Charcoal filter. I have been using this same filter for past 15 years. Filter elements can get cheap from MY. Byond 1st Gear July 5, 2010 Share July 5, 2010 (edited) maintenance would always be an issue for such filter systems it's similar to car... Water in sg are definately much much cleaner than water in Msia. I am not saying our water are tat dirty that it warrants a water filter system. However, if u are to go into finer details, it is a plus to drink cleaner water.... If i rem correctly, the pre filter that is installed just before my RO system, is already 5 microns. The filter cartridges located inside my RO is definately lesser than tthe pre filter. Edited July 5, 2010 by Byond
Samuel999 Neutral Newbie July 5, 2010 Share July 5, 2010 actually i should say everything from japan and korea for the water ionizer is very expensive, the filters they charge more hundreds of dollars, but the cost is extremely cheap, we buy from the www.homay.cn , their uf filters is only 12 dollars, and activated carbon is USD 3dollars, and PP is 1.5 dollars. RO water is safe for drink but not health water , it's the acidic water. and you dont need to put any prefilters before the RO, for it can wippe off all the minerals and extremely lower the TDS. if there is a equipement which can connect the RO water with the water ionizer, then things will seems to be perfect! Theoldjaffa Hypersonic July 5, 2010 Share July 5, 2010 i am using the jupiter delphi system from kemp. i have been suffering from eczema since 1998. eczema sufferers will know how embarrassing it is to have red patches over the body. all the skin specialists i visited can only prescribe steroids which can clear it but it will always return. End up have to keep spending money on expensive creams and consultations and only get stark replies that this is not curable and only be controlled. root cause is unknown, can be due to many factors. ever since i started drinking the water in feb this year when i moved into my new house, my eczema cleared up. to me, that's the best investment i ever had.
