is the airport still running?

im going to manila soon and wondering if i should cancel the trip.

from what i understand, the affected area by the typhoon are the low-land areas. manila is huge, so not the whole of manila is affected unlike singapore...if rain, the whole country rain...that kind of thing.

what do u guys think?

"Parma was packing gusts of up to 185 kilometres (114.7 miles) per hour (kph). The government defines a super typhoon as one with sustained winds of 175-200 kph and the potential to cause heavy damage." - quoted CNA

Ondoy laid the mass destruction, Parma looks to pry the wound further.

Have a safe trip bros.

I'll suggest that you cancel your trip if you can. Mother Nature is not something we can predict accurately and even experts paid with their lives!

But if you have to go, GOOD LUCK Bro!

hmmmmmm.................... will it change direction and come to SG instead..... [sly]

I want it to blow the haze back to Indon................. [furious]

that is near impossible, with the tilt and rotation of the earth, typhoon track an westerly/northwesterly course, until landfall or near land where then it will veer to a northerly/northeasterly track before dissipating to join typical weather pattern and develop into a low pressure system, where then it will track a easterly course across to the Ocean...... that is normally.....

Am here in Manila. More hype than anything. Just looked out of my window, its a faint drizzle. Worst supposed to come in the morning but it might pass by quickly. I wouldn't worry too much.

So far just windy with very light showers. Things still normal although many people took precaution by stocking up and either staying at home or evacuating to higher ground. Traffic is super light. Nothing to worry yet.
