Checked with PML and here is their feedback.

1. COE Promo: Must take up 90% loan, at 3.5% (COE valued at $20k), no over trade.

2. Standard package: 90% loan at 2.5% + 11k over trade.

So is the COE promo a good package???

watever does PML means with free COE? wats the price of the car with COE in the first place? and how much deducted for the 'free' COE? Its very ambiguous, right?

It's all factored in the math, no free lunch in this world.

Same as the $333 installment for first year gimmick right? Second year, you bleed.

If one can afford a one year loan or redeem the loan after one year....then it might be a good deal.

Or to see it from another point of view....the profit margin of BMW is so high that they can absorb the $19k COE easily.

So its true that year end is a good time to buy BMW or cars as some AD might need to justify their priciple on their sales figures as authorised delears.

The sponsor for Nissan car in MCF also mentioned that TC is trying to move more units of latio and is giving much discount on the cars.

Competition is tough with the reduced quota? AD fighting for the limited pie? Could be why the COE did not move up much during the last bidding, for fear of driving away buyers?

This is exactly where their problem is.

Most of their customers are richies which they pay either all cash or darn a lot upfront. So almost nothing to earn from the banks.

So now they have all these funny offers that encourage 90% loan.

So what is the selling price of say a new 520 under these 2 schemes? Is it 173k for (1) and 162k for (2)?

the promo only attracts bmw-wannabes since richies will not take up such offer.

can be rich wont be stupid to pay so much for interest.

more likely for wannbes to fulfill their dream hehe.
