Dunno what ya mean bro. What's raw salt? How large are the grains you refer to as raw salt? Sea salt is the type that has those large, irregularly shaped and flattened grains. Fine salt is the type we get out of a salt shaker; really tiny crystals, regular in size and resembling the fine, powdery sand we find on our beaches.

Or is it really Crystal Meth you're after [lipsrsealed]

If it's for fengshui why don't you try fengshui shops?

Or those crystal shops since their products are somewhat related to fengshui and salt is essentially crystal too?

Table salt (sea or fine) contains sodium chloride as well as sodium iodide as WHO regulates that to prevent some deficiency, iodine needs to be added into salt.

if you wana get really pure salt, ie. sodium chloride (NaCl). Mix EXACTLY 1 portion of aqueous sodium hydroxide (NaOH) with 1 portion of aqueous hydrochloric acid (HCl) of EQUAL concentration. Test the pH using a digital pH meter. If done properly and accurately the pH should read 7.0. IF it is less than 7, add more NaOH, if its more than 7, add more HCl till it is EXACTLY pH 7.0. Thereafter, evaporate the mixture (naturally or under low heat) to obtain fine sodium chloride crystals. IF you require one sizable crystal, try crystallization by seeding.

You could get those salt from aquarium wholesalers at Seletar Farmway 1. [wave]

I got a packet once from one shop that sells organic health food beside the west coast community centre.

That's really scientific.

Let me give my input on salt seeding then.

1. Stir salt into boiling hot water until no more salt will dissolve (crystals start to appear at the bottom of the container). Be sure the water is as close to boiling as possible. Hot tap water is not sufficient for making the solution.

2. If you want crystals quickly, you can soak a piece of cardboard in this supersaturated salt solution. Once it is soggy, place it on a plate or pan and set it in a warm and sunny location to dry out. Numerous small salt crystals will form.

3. If you are trying to form a larger, perfect cubic crystal, you will want to make a seed crystal.

4. To grow a big crystal from a seed crystal, carefully pour the supersaturated salt solution into a clean container (so no undissolved salt gets in), allow the solution to cool, then hang the seed crystal in the solution from a pencil or knife placed across the top of the container. You could cover the container with a coffee filter if you like.

5. Set the container in a location where it can remain undisturbed. You are more likely to get a perfect crystal instead of a mass of crystals if you allow the crystal to grow slowly (cooler temperature, shaded location) in a place free of vibrations.
