Antisocial October 28, 2009 Share October 28, 2009 is it a DSG gearbox?
Kangadrool Supersonic October 28, 2009 Share October 28, 2009 They are clearing their current stock. So, should be already in or on the ship now. Nice car, but still no true manual gear being brought in by VW Singapore.
Seaweed 1st Gear October 28, 2009 Share October 28, 2009 exterior like exactly a downsize golf leh....but not bad...design looks solid...
Tremor Neutral Newbie October 28, 2009 Author Share October 28, 2009 Hope VW price it competitively too. If not, nice design, good engine also no use.
Stinkray Clutched October 29, 2009 Share October 29, 2009 nice car...hope the price is not that steep....
Kangadrool Supersonic October 29, 2009 Share October 29, 2009 Looks like in the 70K bracket by their past records and positioning of the brand as premium brand in SG . Further, it's new, so don't expect cheap.
Paddie 3rd Gear October 29, 2009 Share October 29, 2009 They are clearing their current stock. So, should be already in or on the ship now. Nice car, but still no true manual gear being brought in by VW Singapore. Apart from budget and high-performance cars, how many people buy manual these days? Kangadrool Supersonic October 29, 2009 Share October 29, 2009 Polo is actually a budget, entry level car. It's only they try to glamorize it in SG.
Tremor Neutral Newbie October 29, 2009 Author Share October 29, 2009 Yea, so actually the clear stock price of 58k I think is reasonable for Polo on normal non-clear stock days.
Thespark Neutral Newbie October 29, 2009 Share October 29, 2009 I think can expect the new polo by christmas.
Omu Neutral Newbie October 29, 2009 Share October 29, 2009 I also like this compact VW. But I think it's a little $$$ for small car though.
Vega Turbocharged October 29, 2009 Share October 29, 2009 would you buy this over the Honda Jazz?
Kangadrool Supersonic October 29, 2009 Share October 29, 2009 would you buy this over the Honda Jazz? Yes, PROVIDED: - it's full manual (DSG is still unproven in terms of long term reliability) - priced at or less than Jazz.
Tremor Neutral Newbie October 30, 2009 Author Share October 30, 2009 Yes, PROVIDED: - it's full manual (DSG is still unproven in terms of long term reliability) - priced at or less than Jazz. I would actually pay more for Polo than Jazz. My first ever car was a VW when I was in uni in Aus. A VW Kombi. Drinks fuel like a ferrari but doesn't matter, fuel was much cheaper before. Windchoco 1st Gear October 30, 2009 Share October 30, 2009 polo v likely will be smaller than jazz on the inside.... So paying the same price seems not practical.
