Any bro open savings account in My recently? I have a dormant account with bsn for more than 10 yrs already.

Are we still allowed to? Also like to know how and what the cheapest way to bring $50k across.

I didn't open any recently...but have a Maybank 1 which I open yrs old when Malaysia stock cease trading in Singapore and Malaysia implement currency control...I deposit my RM$ cheque in Malaysia Maybank and use the ATM to withdraw cash from Singapore...

In your case...since the amount isn't too big either and if you worried of getting stop at custom....why not ask a few frens to go along and each person carry a little...that will be the most simple way that I can thought of...see if any bros here have better suggestion...

Just drive in loh with yor 50k...Just drive in as per normal with your family members and appear cool... They dont check that detailed anyway.. Most of the times ... just see see look look. Thats what I did when I need to bring $$ for some property purchases. But make sure u BRING A FEW FRIENDS along.. Dont GO IN ALONE WITH A HANDFUL OF $$..Asking for TROUBLE

Alternative, just open an account in Maybank and do a $$ REMIT over to that acount. Go Golden Mile do it.. Very cheap one... any transactions regardless the amount... $12 service charge only and you will receive the $$ the next working day. I did that when I need to transfer $$ urgently to Malaysia.
