Used-to drive the A5 when it was first launched. Back then, this coupe was a head turner with its sleek looks as well the eye catching DRL. It was love at first sight and the power delivery following mTm was really good for a 2l car.

Much much much much better! The steering feel on A6 felt overly light..but can be adjusted to dynamic feel to feel heavier

Quattro vs FWD.

Both cars got their merits and cons. Dont regret.. your car has much more space and can be uprated with a stage 1 tune too.

Sorry to bump this old post up.

I traded in my f30 316i for this beauty. Everytime i drive by a A5 Sportback, i will always steal glances at it. Finally got the chance to own and drive one. Was really amazed with the 3.0 v6 Quattro. Instant tap of power! The condition of the car is perfect. I suspect it used to be PA management fleet and sold to 2nd owner who didnt drive it too much too. Booked it yesterday at Premium pre-owned(UBI).

Apparently the poison for this car is even higher level. Revo stage 1+ will bump it over 400hp from stock 272hp

Hi all, bumping this thread again. Anyone know if this is with dry or wet clutch? Really needed advice here as I am about to commit a 2014 A5 1.8. Many thanks in advance.

Hello all,

Is the 2014 1.8 litres model having any issue with the multitronic gearbox?

Multitronic is not DSG. No wet or dry clutch.

Go ahead and get it. The GB on 1.8 is quite robust

1.8 vs 2.0 both same GB?

No.

A5 2.0 is wet DSG

A5 1.8 is multitronic. aka CVT

BTW, talking about the old A5 and the facelift.

Not the latest that was launched 1 to 2 mths back

My wife's friend had 2.0 a5 sportback I once has driven it when I was wasted af - as a passenger obviously, she was lifting me home, but have really enjoyed it. Her husband works for DSRLeasing so maybe I'll go grab some deal with them.

So the 1.8 GB is more reliable than then 2.0? From the record...

This is one that I am looking at. The mileage in that is low. I assume PA will not be tempering with the mileage. Is there anything that I need to look out for?

Yes

mechatronic! That is the term. Is this still an issue in the A5 sportback 1.8 2014 model?

CVT doesn't have mechatronic.

Look out for price.

They are asking for the sky for a 1.8. Ballsy.

How much did they offer you?
