I remember it to be on the ground floor but frankly speaking in Singapore cant really get good reasonably priced solar lights - in fact its much cheaper on Ebay but they don't ship global anymore for most of the items like solar lights... I also remember one company called sunseap something selling them too

Good to support R&D on this field. Frankly technology still in infant stage. No ROI till end of the world. Just feel great you have contributed.

Put inside car for? To run what?

We need to get the objective right first.

And then for the rewiring, you have to check who can do, and will it void the warranty, etc etc ..

Approved by LTA?

Lots of questions to answer before you can try.

Just my humble opinions :)

Those solar portable panel mainly to power car accessories (Fan, Phone, etc.) but not to do any rewire.

I was surprise that solar panel can power a separate portable air con inside the car. Kind of in doubt as the efficiency of PV is limited to date.

Can use to trickle charge the battery, extending the lifespan.

Simple connection - via cigarette adapter or crocodile clips to the battery terminals.

Easily removable if need to.

I too had the same idea.

Only concern is the battery for energy storage and the reflection if at the back.

Keep us posted on your findings.

I guess that the fact. You could store energy by linking it to a power bank.

Anyone what's the operating temperature of power bank? For example, this doesn't state clearly.

There's 1 important point overlooked.

All our visible windows are all covered with solar film.

If the solar panel is placed inside the car, the efficiency is greatly reduced.

In fact I have a mini solar fan. Tested under the sun and solar film, it still can run at its max speed as the limitation also lies with the fan.

Yes. Efficiency will reduce under solar film.

Eh...already stated in your posted image  - Charging temperature 0℃-45℃ (TYP)

Car parked outdoor can get quite hot.

Between black and silver,  the car body temp already > 10℃ difference.

Where possible to find a cooler area for the powerbank,  safety is still a concern.

Eh.. your solar fan are those at the windows that move air in and out of the car for cooling?

Mine is just a mini fan, not this. Actually, I heard from my friend that this is ineffective.
