Interesting topic to discuss.

  • Caltex: Good for mid-high end drive (highway drive) + Feel more power + Good for Conti cars
  • Esso/Mobil: Good for low end drive (city drive) + Feel more smoother + Good for Jap/Kor Cars
  • Shell: Average drive + Feel rough and noisy + Good for nothing unless using V-power + Good marketing skill in Singapore
  • SPC: OK drive + Fuel meter drops kinda fast + Good for those who love to throw money away (LOL)

In conclusion, Caltex serves a good drive when mostly in highway while Esso/Mobil serves a good drive when mostly in city drive.

Nonetheless, this is just my observation and might not be accurate. Most importantly, drive safe.  [drivingcar]

We will see how it goes when I switch from SPC to Shell next year  [laugh]

The common place that I pumped is Thomson, beside Thomson Plaza. Air pump is analog, needle type.

Other areas whereby Air pump also analog, needle type. Damn lousy, outdated air pump.

a) ESSO@ 622 Queensway Singapore 149061.

b) ESSO @ 174 Holland Rd.

Ended up I usually go Caltex to pump my tyre. Caltex air pump is the best!

SPC is the worst. My 2 cars after pumping SPC, "bo luck". I banned SPC for years already.

I don't pay much attention to air pumps. As long as the tyres can be inflated to the correct pressure is good enough.

What I hate is when i drive to pump, it showed the our of order sign, or, when you pump, it is full of errors. Air leaking from the joints...

Was previously on SPC, banking on Everyday Card and then UOB ONE Card discounts.

Recently switched to Shell due to the discount booklet and HSBC combo.

Shell seems to gives a smoother feel to the drive, shall monitor and evaluate further.

From riding days to driving, I observed that Shell burns faster (lower mileage); Caltex seems to make the vehicle more responsive.

I stick to ESSO for its points.

I had very good experience with Caltex Techron previously, it gave me less throttle body, erratic RPM and fuel gauge issue.

The compromise was FC.

So I stuck with it till now.
