I am simply calculating the return after putting the $10K for 6 months.

The return is $112.5 ($110 voucher + $2.5 interest)

112.5/10000 x 100 = 1.125% right?

If we are wrong, at least show us the correct calculation and return.

I already told you interest rates should be compared on 1 yr basis. Your 110$ return is for six months.

The interest is only 0.05% which is atrocious to say the least but more than compensated by this $110 ntuc voucher which is a 22% pa return!

$110 for every 10k / 6mth is pretty good if you wan the voucher instead of $ of course.

your voucher cannot earn INT on INT .

Best I see now is ocbc bonus plus which gives 1.45%. No limit.

Is there any other account better?

With such T&C ......... better put FD.

Earn 1.45% per year on your entire account balance when you don’t withdraw and deposit a minimum of S$500 monthly.

Continue earning 1.05% per year if you simply don’t withdraw.

For months when you need to access your money, you will receive the base interest of 0.05% per year.

Fd needs around min 1 year for good rates? This one the interest seems monthly. I have some funds that will be around for slightly less than 3 months.

500 a month is very little to add.. just do a standing instruction. So effectively i get 1.45% for 2 months deposit.

put in uob one...

although gotta spend $500, and 3 GIRO, works perfectly for me.  Annual interest about $1600 that's what I got for last year

for the other tranches, I put in MB FD that was pretty decent arnd %1.88.  Instant interest upfront

that is pretty good, more than 2% with no step up issue.... limit is 75k but a good place to park 75k.

No wonder you still go for the free daily 2gb sim card! Times must be bad after marriage. Everythings Two headcounts instead of one.

What about those fresh fund of at least RMB 50k at over 3.5% for 6 months TD offered by BOC and ICBC? Tempted but not sure about the exchange rate trend and charges in due course since no clarity on the trade war...Xi yeh may use currency as leverage against DT.
