My Superb <Not current model> gear knob is loose and wanna change a new one. However i call local Skoda deal or XZ <stockist> with the chassis number , it was the round type. Mine was the walnut squarish type. I think its from the Superb elegant model, Does anyone know the part number of the walnut gear knob? Anyone can provide where i can buy the gear knob other than these 2 places, the price quoted was > 200$ for the normal round head gear knob.

I think i saw a thread regarding the loose gear knob button before but now cant find the old thread again.

Apprecaite I can get from advise from here.

Thank You.

Bob,

Simply get a used gear knob from a B5.5 series VW Passat. These can be fitted onto the Superb and will not suffer from the loose knob issue. Check with VAG specialist workshops like Servotronic or Aldan if they happen to de-mod any B5.5 Passats which will be scrapped or exported. Swap your existing gear knob for the Passat's.

Servotronic charged $50 for such a swap.
