hi bros here, my molar ( last tooth use for biting ) has been hurting very badly for the past few days [:(] and went to my neighbourhood dentist and did Xray for me saying that my nerve has been infected. But sadly they dont do RCT except extraction.

They told me to try the new Khoo Teck Puat Hospital but i just wanna ask around here if u all have any better recommendation for a good and preferably affordable dentist cos this is my first RCT and im quite tight now.

My toothache is really terrible and makes me lose my mood and appetite for anything [dead]

I appreciate any advice and help from u guys ^_^

(edited)

I'm in the midst of having mine done. Next appointment is 2 days away. RCT+ crown.

The costs is like $1K which I'm not sure if its cheap/ex..... just that the skill of the dentist is good. (he did 2 molars for me 9 years back and they're still fine)

PM me if you need the dentist info (in AMK)

$1k flat for both RCT + crowning? private or public dentist? if public, probably waiting list like a few months?

the last time i was informed that RCT for molar is $1k+ and crowning for it about $2k by a private dentist.

heng the dentist manage to do a filling for my molar and keep it functional.

PM me your AMK dentist info also just for backup in case my tooth give way.

Not $1K flat lah..... depends on what you do.... its a private clinic.

RCT itself ranges from $400 to $600. The crown another $500 to $800. (Molars costs the most)

My current tooth so happens to cost $1100.

PMed you the dentist.... but he's always booked full, so gotta arrange a week or more in advance.

cost of FTC depends on the number of root that require treatment. More root = more $$$.

Did my usual scaling and treatment at kangren dental, beside yishunmrt, quite good n charges r reasonable. Its beside bake Inc. Dentist name is doren. Good luck.

What you need is crowning.Root canel is when your decay strikes the nerve, then you need root canal to remove the rooting.

In 2006, I spent about $1,600 for RCT at NUH. It was done by a young male dentist. A fresh grad I guess.

The fee includes:

1) RCT

2) Operation to lift up my gum for the crown to be put on

3) The crowning --> this one alone costed me $500+

Well, that was the price 4 years ago. Not sure about now.

Go private but find one that can can use medisave to offset. It's an excrutiating experience cos I've tried it before. Did mine at Paragon.
