They are not wrong. The make stated in log cards for Lexus is "Toyota", model "Lexus XXXX". This was what I've seen previously.

they're not wrong in saying that.

but for the uninformed, who for the first time realise 'huh lexus is a toyota??'

their decisions may be swayed towards a BMW. nvm that it's a used car context.

Yup. I think LTA no. of cars registered also include Lexus under Toyota. There is no Lexus in the list.

so will they be selling Geely Volvos??

Won't be surprise to see that.

Soon we won't see anymore Volvo in the LTA list, they will all be listed under Geely instead.

Then log car will put Geely Volvo.

But strange thing is they still have Ferrari and LAmbo........

I though it should be called FIAT Model Ferrarri xxx and VW Audi Model Lambo xxxxx

Since VW owns Audi, it should be called VW Model Audi xxx too. lol.......

So there is nothing wrong with that 2nd hand car sales dept of PML.

It will also help in their own car sales when drivers wanted some one to handle their old car.

Bread & butter car transfer to full time 2nd hand car dealer to handle lah.

Different lah.

Lexus is a brand of Toyota. Lexus is Toyota create one, hence 'Toyota Lexus'. I think if we got Acura or Infiniti also the same, 'Honda Acura' and 'Nissan Infiniti'.

Ferrari, Lambo, Jaguar, Audi and Volvo are individual brands in their own right, just that they are under ownership of another brand. They will still be called Ferrari, Lambo, Jaguar, Audi and Volvo.
