My first car uses Boston speakers.

It was expensive in those days.

For me I like to hear the clearity between the freq ranges.

So my set up for the rear is 2" tweeter, 4" midrange and 6x9 woofer, crossovers and driven by equaliser. No extra amp.

Front and rear doors still use factory speakers-- speakers for Volvo still OK lah.

Sorry, that time no 5.1 or THX, only got fader and balance. The in-thing was equaliser, I get the adjust to my preference.

Verdict: GOOD Speakers.

As music is very subjective, it is advisable to head down to one of the audio shops that have such speakers on display and listen to its quality before purchase or committing to it.

OMG, I nearly fainted.

Prices dropped down so much.

why so cheap now. mayby MIC.. [laugh]

And if you dont mention Amazon, I would have fallen for the $299 and happily paid $30 for installation, and say thank you to the installer.

Their profit is like $200.

If TS can bring in the speakers and DIY for a one to one swap, he will save a lot of good $$$.

Otherwise, spend the $30 and ask audio shop to install.

For ICE, sky is the limit.

For me it is good enough. Not a hard rock deep base fanatic.

My experience with my old sedan's set up allow me to enjoy like being in concert listening to singles, jazz or acoustics.

BTW, my was old Boston, USA.

That is the most I can say.

Go SGSoundSystem forums and see.. There's a Moderator's Lobang section. Some nice speakers can be had there for $250. Installation another $30. But be careful not to get poisoned.
