Yes it is. It is a yearly affair for all OPC vehicles.

 

1. Vehicle Inspection

2. Renew road tax

3. Renew insurance

 

Inspection Of OPC/ROPC Vehicle Licence Plate

 

The vehicle licence plates shall be inspected and sealed by a LTA authorised vehicle inspection centre within the following time frame:

 

a) for new ROPC - within 7 calendar days from its date of registration;

b) for normal car converting to ROPC - within 3 calendar days from the date of conversion.

 

The vehicle licence plates and the seals are required to be inspected by the LTA authorised vehicle inspection centre every year before its road tax can be renewed.

Strictly as in the number plate check? Nothing.... However, to renew road tax, you need a letter from the insurance company to prove that you have renewed your insurance.

what Im going to do is:

- just do license plate inspection on Saturday

- renew my insurance + road tax at the insurance company itself at later days

Yes they will send the letter as well as the new road tax disc to your registered address a month before the road tax expiry.

 

You need to bring this when going for insurance and road tax renewal.

Pre-requisite is to have the number plate inspection completed

for my case,

 

it's slightly difference.

 

i just got my road tax renewal, didn't go for any inspection this year. the last round was aug last year if i recall correct.

 

opc, i only know the full inspection is only year 3,5,7 and 9

the rest, is all just the seal..

 

for the seal inspection, this is super easy money earning scheme...

 

some bother to touch while other, uses visual..

then proceed to counter for payment of $10.70

 

shiok hor.. sometime i really envy the way people earn money..

while some or even myself, really have to slog like a dog to earn that few more buck..
