Oops, i know bro, i actually meant viscosity ... :D

I used 5W30 for my 08 Fit and it has been running well... What I know is that for newer engines, you can use a thinner oil but this has been debated over and over again...

Ultimately, it's up to your preference...

[nod] i choose amsoil ss for the "longer life" reason...i change every 12-13K km and that's is like in ~5mths time... [:p]

for me mileage quite low. 7mths den i hit 10k. so... i took RL [:)]

I used, calube, SHU, Redline, ELF, 3 types of oil mixed and

on a 1.1 Getz cannot tell any difference.

Anyway all got changed at 4k or 5k km. :D

I think I din use any oil long enough to break

down so dun know which one is good.

Also 1.1 Getz is SOHC so doesn't shear

or chop oil much like a DOHC or turbo.

they are different.

for me i feel amsoil and RL equally smooth equally good fc but.............

the power for redline is awesome. not loud at high revs engine braking no roaring sound. but its not advisable using beyond 9-10k.

amsoil the power isnt quite there as compared to RL. louder at high revs and ur rpm doesnt climb as fast as RL, but its performance is constant up to 15k or even more.

Amsoil has better protection than Redline but is known to be on the thicker side and tends to "rob" away some power. However, if you want the best possible protection, Amsoil is the one.
