NO... she was from ipoh. Educated and brought up in ipoh.

 

She borned in Gopeng務邊(Perak,Malaysia) & studied in Poi Lam primary & secondary schools in Ipoh怡保 before heading to Singapore in persuit of her career as a singer, & later went farther abroad to HK...liked most of the Chinese descendents of Ipoh.The pathetic destiny of the Chinese there:Destined having to leave their hometown(country) in teenage.
