Bought the RASLOK steering wheel lock at AUTOBACS Bukit Batok for $88.95

Just that little extra bit of peace of mind for my trip to Malacca & Port Dickson. Worth it!   [thumbsup]

I heard all these no use one leh... ppl want steal can just tow ur car away hahaha

It's always for deterrence purposes less of to Ensure 100% theft proof.

Btw, my old club steering wheel lock cannot fit my 216d GT. Anyone knows which kind will fit 216d GT? Thks

Raslok and Disklok,

Which one is better?

Raslok,

Sawing off of sterling wheel will not help. but if the Lips can be sawed off then GG.

Disklok,

Bulky and the material looks tough. Not sure if it really does prevent people from turning the sterling wheels.

The thieves will smash the window, jump into the car and drive off..

Good point.  [thumbsup]

Must also take the steering wheel

out with the driver so they cannot

drive off.

I going to MY during CNY.

I saw some online sale of pedal lock. It looks more foolproof than steering wheel lock. The pedal lock looks like Duro style.

Anyone use before?

I thought prevention/deterrance is always better hence the more visible your lock the better. Until they smash your windscreen then notice you have a pedal lock, I feel damage has been done.

agree.. it should be damn farking obvious to act as "deterrent", hoping the thieve pick the next easier target beside my car instead of 20-30 seconds longer time with my car... [:p]

Neutral Newbie

Old topic I know, this does not deter from truck to tow your car away, but after your steering wheel got cut and remove the steering wheel lock the thieves will be surprize that they can't start the car if you pull off the fuel pump fuse or the starter fuse.

hI newbie here:

copied from the website:

do you have the stats for cars stolen in SG?

i dont drive to Malaysia, so i dont need this device?

thanks in advance.

I wonder if this post is a joke.

I'll bite though, I would hazard a guess that the stats for stolen cars in SG would be one a year, and even then it's probably because someone made a mistake somehow.

All stering locks are useless as the steering wheel

is designed to be soft and easily cut to minimise impact

to your head in the event of an accident.

The metal rod inside the steering wheel can easily be cut.

However the brake and clutch pedal is extremely strong

metal designed not to break when you stamp hard on it

during e brake.

So the best lock is a foot brake lock.
