Hi guys/gals,

I am driving a Nissan sunny (M)

And I extended for another 5 years when the COE was at $51k.

Currently, thinking of getting a car registered on year 2009 and extend for another 10 years.

Which car do u guys think will be a better choice?

Sylphy or Altis?

A lot of people will say Altis.

Yes.

All my friends advise me to go for Altis.

Although Sylphy has a better interior, spacious leg space.

Actually Sylphy looks much nicer. I am a fan of Nissan.

Similar dilemma.

I am also deciding between Teana and Camry.

Everyone is telling me to get the Camry instead.

Major diff is MIJ and MIT.

There are MIJ Camry in Singapore and also Axio which is MIJ. The only is for Camry, you need to know which is MIJ whereas Axio and Altis is straight forward.

Car towed this morning to workshop at Toh Guan Road.

Very nice chap this tow truck guy, I would highly recommend his towing service. Pm me for contact if you *touch wood* need car towing service.

Did a OBD scanner check and they located the fault, it was not the gear box afterall. It was the manifold intake which was faulty and once fixed car will be ready this evening. Damage around $300. Requested for gear box flush, change ATF and EO.

What a relief it was not GB problem like what my mech said. Not going back to him anymore. -_-

The mechs at this WS are very efficient, knowledgeable and friendly. Kudos to Simon and his team. As it is, I very much highly recommend them for car servicing. Please let me know if you need their contact.

Thank you.

Hi guys/gals,

I have trade-in my Sunny for Altis (extend 10 years COE)

After test drive both Sylphy and Altis.

Felt Altis is a better car in term of power.

And Sylphy is using CVT gearbox, many of my friends told me to avoid it.

Thanks for sharing an update!

I am still sourcing for my 9.5 year old Teana. Many of my friends will ask me to consider getting the camry or wish instead.

If keen wish, let me know, i consider. My current wish coming 2yrs, mileage about 15k+ or so. Workplace 5mins drive from house, so low mileage. I looking out for odyssedy, so slowly biding my time no hurry for me.

My prev ride also sunny, hence my nick haha

I also have a Sunny to trade. Mind sharing how much the dealer offer when you trade for the Altis?

Are the rear seat and boot of Altis more spacious than the sunny?

Car conked again. [laugh]

This morning towed to WS, was in a hurry so left my car key in the exhaust pipe and informed the tow truck guy.

Wah, what happened this time?

It’s just over a month since the last time in the workshop.
