Roberttan 5th Gear March 22, 2011 Share March 22, 2011 my personal point of view In general, motor workshop is not really a Professioanl tyre and wheel people.(in SIN or RM) Dunlop FM901 is at least a 10 yrs old model and used to be imported from Japan.(now yrs in Indonesia) i have no comment about the country production because it relies on individual tyre company to have what level of QC and marketing strategy. base on the price you paid around S$115 (after conversion). it should be sold as low range class tyre. The kind YHI person shown you the uneven spot on your brand new tyre (manufactured 5110) freshly manufactured tyre dont assured you good quailty. I am assured you this dunlop FM901 is going to be very very nosiey after 15,000 km but this noise wont harm you,you can continue to use it. The picture your car taken looks like in YHI warehouse? can see many yokohama tyres Just curiousty since you have your regualr tyre shop why didnt you go to them for your tyre and rim? at least they are in our shore and easier for you to trouble shoot should you have problem. The chap over the causeway knews you wont u turn back to look for them to fix the problem. by the way have you reslved your vibration problem? Roberttan 5th Gear March 24, 2011 Share March 24, 2011 If you use only regular shop you seldom got problem WHY? If a seler is making reasonable return (in buisness is normal), they will surely recommend you the best within your budget. SO stick and befriend with your regular if you think they can be trusted ONE good one is enough. If your are judging my only the $$$$ i can tell you is no Ending, WHY? today he is cheap does not means forever cheap. Market keep changing every second. Each of every shop carry diff operation cost and could be diff source too. If you are the type anything also can ONE, Cheap can one, than you just remember they will also do to you anything also can one.

My regular tire shop sold the rims I said I would buy and got piss off and went to MYS and found my other ideal rim. So being con by my customer.... Vibration at +100km after YHI balancing compared with 80km/hr at first 2 tire shop.
Vhtfhwlego Supercharged March 25, 2011 Author Share March 25, 2011 Hehehe....tell that to ts I intro dont know how many others to regular shop as their price is rock bottom until that bulk order (5 cars at one go to change) have no further discounts as price is that low. However if that the shop doesnt sell the rims design I want, there is no point for me to pay for something I compromise. About the tire choice, it was pennywise, pound foolish.... If that I would log on to internet when they intro me FM901, I would had bought the rims back and when to my regular shop or if not, took Hankook V12.... Throwing everything in a basket and had not explore others' services you would know how good others may be. My experience with one regular WS (authorise Mazda WS) and drives the same car as me (MPS). And previous owner also service the car there and I thought that they would understand the car. Mazda MPS is a rare car so with Authorise Mazda WS, owner driving MPS = hassle free repair? NO! Some smaller WS solved my problem after they spent days of trial and error (=more cost for replacement parts which dont need). MPS is a AWD car and I used 2 kinds of different tires as a repair replacement. I hit a stone and rims wrapped, when to a tire shop change 2 tires and 4 rims. Then I discovered that drive shaft bent and change as well at a small WS. Car did not perform as well as before and they suggest that I should change the balance 2 tires but I didn't listen. Later on, I sent my car to the A.Mazda WS and they troubleshoot my car. Replaced so many other parts they thought it is faulty and nope of it solve my problem. 3 days later, I read the driver's manual and found that AWD cars need all 4 tires to be the same... Drove over to the tire shop and changed the balance 2. Car became normal again.... ↡ Advertisement
