Bystander50 5th Gear April 15, 2011 Share April 15, 2011 how much for a new alternator n 2nd hand one? I'm not too sure about it. For a new alternator, you can try calling Fong Ee and check. They are one of the stockist for Mit parts.
Jefkking Clutched April 16, 2011 Share April 16, 2011 (edited) Alternative (Re-con) about SGD 600 and new usually about S$ 1.2K (Depneds on brand & model of car) if from workshops island wide. Can try UbiPlex - Blk 3023 / 3024 enter via EPS carpark entry and make an right-turn till alomost the end, at level 1 , there's a shop specialise for the supply of brands & models of cars driver shafts (Cum dust covers) and alternators and they also supplying to workshops island wide. Worth trying to ask the shopkeepers & buy from them & if you need mechanic to install for you, costs around S$ 15 to S$ 20 as replacement work for alternator for your Lancer is not that diffucult nor problematic. By doing so, it save you couple of hundreds !! Edited April 16, 2011 by Jefkking

Jefkking Clutched April 16, 2011 Share April 16, 2011 (edited) Longg8 ! I don't drive Lancer BUT at least i know where these workshops get their source of supply and i did recommend to some of my freineds and they really got the parts they need & saved some miones. Don't you ? (Unless you're too generous of paying more to the workshops or dealers) Edited April 16, 2011 by Jefkking
Jefkking Clutched April 16, 2011 Share April 16, 2011 (edited) Kelvingoh45, i think you're "too green" to be a car owner, there's period of warranty given from this shop & they can tests for you on the spot. (Unless you don't know the way for observation of test) Edited April 16, 2011 by Jefkking ↡ Advertisement
