the marginal buyers had mostly been squeezed out of the market

its not just the marginal buyers, the mid class will be out of the market soon. in fact when coe prices keep climbing and supply keeps shrinking 10 years later when most of the entry and mid level crowd finish with their car, they will find it hard pressed to afford another

coe prices will only go up. together with the high yen, this makes japanese cars pricey and unattractive.

moreover who wants to spend 60k coe on a registering a toyota.

There are many rich in sg and these guys will be first in line to register their bmw and merc.

logically with the lower euro, and high coe prices, i find it logical to buy a bmw and it has become the next value for money car.

Wont be surprised that up to half of mcf members will disappear from ranks of car owners in time to come.

The Fourth Reich is Come!

But seriously, there are so many German cars on our roads that to me, the marques have somewhat lost their prestige.
