Oil catch tank looks like m/cycle fuel filter.

Most of these I saw were bigger and made of metal.

Also saw your SP of the firewall, the dismantling of the dashboard seem complicated with so many things to remove....must have taken lots of time to do that.. [sweatdrop]

all i can say is i like it very much, like my gear +1 level

change 2nd gear like already 3rd gear

just not sure about fuel consumption, hopefully dont increase

Btw, I would like to remind folks who install oil catch tank to do 2 things.

1. dispose the engine oil collected in the tank properly.

2. Connect the tube from the oil catch tank back to intake manifold. The reason is to reduce pollution. This is because engine oil vapour is hazardous to health (can cause cancer) and its a pollutant. It would be irresponsible to vent engine oil vapour into the atmosphere and let others breath in the fumes.

1. sure, think will be able to last at least half a year before full

2. of course must connect back to intake manifold, else will be leaking, cannot control the amount of air bleeding into engine.

For 2, not necessary. Some just seal up the hose connector at intake manifold and vent the engine vapour into the atmosphere. OF course, this prevents engine oil vapour from getting into intake, hence keeping it clean but it also means the gas is vent into atmosphere.

oh, for my car, i need air into the intake to increase torque etc

didnt know people will seal up the connector

I guess different engines work differently. For me case, I get slightly better FC w/o the hose. This is because the valve cover valve just vents hot blow by gas and engine oil into the combustion chamber. Something that is unwanted.

However, perhaps you engine is designed to get additional air from the valve since its positive pressure.
