The bp joke + illustration by carbon82 is hilarious :a-m1212: . I have already used up 3/4 tank of the SPC 98. Initial feel is....not bad. :a-happy:  Drive and response are indeed smoother and pickup a little quicker despite having just serviced my car recently. Of course, the feel is to each his own butt dyno. But overall, am satisfied with the outcome at the price with discounts thrown in. But can't say much on fuel economy as I'm always caught in rush hour, even with other brands of petrol.

Just pumped Techron Premium for the first time instead of Synergy Extra...

Maybe I'm imagining things, but it feels like my engine is less vocal and more refined in tone - less 'rort'.

Oh i see,i only know Caltax Premium as Platinum 98...next time will see the 95 Petrol.

My recollection at the station is that the names are Techron Regular 92, Techron Premium 95, Techron Platinum 98.

If your car can take Ron 92 and below, no difference in any brand formula, just get the cheapest, whoever give most discount. If your car take only Ron 95 and up, it does make a difference.

I thought only the premium 98 caltex petrol has the techron thing?

If they brand all of them Techron-something I believe all got some form of their fuel additive mixture. Presumably 98 would have more, or at least Esso's Synergy claims to have increased cleaning agents for Supreme 8000
