For Weekend Car, they have this anti tamper thing. So does it mean I cannot change car plate? I want to get something slimmer.

Due to the anti tampering thing. changing the plate is more difficult

- Get LTA approval (subject to their approval, usually on no damage involved they will reject) get the form here

- Approved, $16

- remove the seal from workshop $30

- replace plate = $40 to $60

- plate casing = $10 to $20

- go back LTA to re-seal back the plate

If I'm you, I'd forget it.

Thanks Bros for ur recommendations! Near car repairs huh? in that case i suppose can get fr Alexandra village or Ubi?

If you are near Alexandra, just to to Bukit Merah Lane. Lots of shops there that can make new care plates for you.

Consider carefully before you make the switch to OPC, because not many people are suitable to use OPC.

I am a permanent night shift worker therefor a OPC suits me like a gloves.

I drive off to work at 7pm and return home before 7am

Hello everyone,

I am looking for a specific license plate holder:

It is used by Volkswagen Centre Singapore and made in Germany by a manufacturer named Würth.

I bought one from a fellow forummer in VW Singapore forum, and I need to purchase an additional matching one; unfortunately, the forummer couldn't recall where he had bought it from in Singapore.

Appreciate your assistance, please.

This is a photo (I don't know why the photos are always uploaded upside down).

I did mine at Smartplate http://www.smartplate.com.sg

Very good pricing and the license plate frame text is printed on and not sticker.

I went there too earlier this afternoon to purchase a set of license plate frame holders; they were the same type as the ones installed by Volkswagen Centre Singapore, albeit not made in Germany, so they are a perfect fit. Edited by Doppel

Ask the shops. They will tell you.

Is there any front that we are not allow to use of the car plate? or those in shop are all LTA approve?

It is very standard. There is only 1 font allowed.

Dear all

Need to fabricate licence plates (front & back) within the next 3 days.

Appreciate recommendations for a credible workshop at Ubi or Kaki Bukit area which fabricates durable LTA-approved licence plates (no sticker-type please) at reasonable price.

Thanks lots!
