Just follow the steps listed in the LTA web site and you will be safe....however be warned that some people will thrash your car, hit your rims on kerb without you knowing, abuse the engine and do funny things in the car....so be prepared for all these.

 

An another thing is the insurance premium to rent out your car might be expensive too....

Its not advisable unless you rent it to your friends only through mutual understanding hehehe........

wait for big conferences, when there are not enough cars the govt sometimes rent from the public at quite a good rate.

I think more secondhand car dealers will rent out their stocks of cars during such conventions!

I have read that the car should be registered and insured as a rent-a-car. if you just want to rent it. But if you want more details, you could consult your local department of motor vehicles office so that they could answer your questions.

Anyone know which insurance company cover this? I have called almost all insurance companies but all said they don’t do that. If so, LTA is just slapping themselves by implementing this scheme but actually on the ground, it cannot be implemented cause of insurance issue?
