Quantum 5th Gear August 25, 2011 Share August 25, 2011 COE going to 10 years, 2nd hand car market also quite ex even if COE sky high now, but still can find some affordable models in new car market, narrow down to above mentioned 3 models, doing some homework prior to negotiation my major concern as: 1. Power 2. FC 3. Price 4. interior space regardless: Make, exterior look etc kindly advise ↡ Advertisement

TVT Supercharged August 25, 2011 Share August 25, 2011 I like the looks of Cruze, very nice. Elantra looks to futuristic, and Forte is OK design. I'll take the Forte as its the best all rounder.

My priority will be 1. Price 2. Power 3. Interior space 4. FC In fact I look at other more important factor such as design of the car, the functions you get out from the car (such as GPS, bluetooth, reverse camera, etc) more than FC. But that's just my own humble opinion. Cheers.

Toyogun Neutral Newbie August 25, 2011 Share August 25, 2011 (edited) Just Like dramas.... Korean is the way to go... hahaha Since we are talking about all things Korean about cars, why don't we spice thing up a little by bringing in the Renault Fluence to the topic, another true blue make in Korea car -aka Samsung SM3. Quantum 5th Gear August 25, 2011 Author Share August 25, 2011 I very doubt Elantra1.6A FC 14.9km/L Power 130bhp normally Hyundai always over claim their performance

Steptronic Supercharged August 25, 2011 Share August 25, 2011 My personal choice would be Elantra in the choices given. If look is not important, there are other cars like City, Sylphy, Latio etc...almost in the same price range.

Abachee 2nd Gear August 26, 2011 Share August 26, 2011 Honestly, I am a new owner of the Elantra and I won't say much about my ride. I would only say to those who is interested to test drive it and have a real feel of the comfort, drive and space it have. As for KIA, It will never fall in my consideration list and the logo KIA is oredi a letdown. Even if given free to me in the event of lucky draw, I would sell it at a discount. It's a NO NO for me to get associated with this brand. As for Cruze, it's was originally my first choice of selected few in my list of 1.6L family car. But after comparing it with Corolla Altis and Elantra, I find very cramp in space and the weight of the car is a tag too heavy to my liking and that resulted in sluggish pickup and high fuel consumption. Some ppl find it masculine, but others may find it ugly as well. All and all, each of these ride have their Pro & Cons and it's very subjective in terms of comparison. Hence, it's up to each individual preference & liking in selecting one of these cars ad their ride. To me, I have never regretted in choosing my ride as I am very proud and satisfy owner of the choice I have made. Cheers.....

Elantra have climate control which is auto and you can dial the turning knob manually to half of the full turn with touth button of temperature control and with temperature set at 23 degree Celsius with half of full turn power blast. My family and other passenger who is sitting behind oredi complaining freezing cold liao. Haha... It's like in a ice skating ring Lidat.
Abachee 2nd Gear August 26, 2011 Share August 26, 2011 is elantra replacement of Avente? 2011 Elantra is a facelift of Avante and used back the old Elantra name for this facelift meant for export set. Whereas in South Korea, the Avante name only reserve to be use in the country of the origin. ↡ Advertisement
