i saw a few of these full tatoo chaps, but all very thin leh i think if they pump iron and eat alot, then can be like special forces style

We all went through NS and we can see that those ah beng, all tatoo, chain smokers. But they have the strength and determination to finish the training, especially those riflemen

I can see many childish comments here. IF you havent gone thru any police interrogations, its best to keep quiet and not give stupid comments. Police brutality happens everywhere. AS I am typing this, someone out there is being walloped. If you dont wallop, how to exact "truth"?

 

Wow you must quite experienced when it comes to police interrogations. Have you been through one or several interrogations for that matter? Can you tell us what happens in a police interrogation? If there is police brutality, what is their favourite method of extracting information?

If you still have such kind of mindset of Singapore police brutality in the current contact, I can't blame you. In the 60's, 70's and early 80's maybe or in other countries but at current time in Singapore where interrogation is conducted under cctv recording. Which police officer would want to lost their job for this.

 

The recording could be requested by the defendant lawyer in court to view the process. High handlerness or rude maybe but assualting or drinking of urine, no way I would believe the story ....

 

 

it happens... but discreetly.. you go see those I/O... espacially those SS one...

its more mental than physically torture.

Once upon a time, those with tattoos will try very hard to hide it when walking pass policemen. Only minimum tattoos on their body.

 

Nowadays, they tattooed the whole arm & body and walk pass the policemen in singlet showing off the design.

 

Times have change and ppl knows their own rights through education and NS ......

 

The tattoos of today you see on one's body and those you saw in the 60's and 70's are totally different. The tattoos of the 60's on one's body tells you which gang he/she belongs to.

Meaning before that, nobody saw the need for any such dept???

Exactly... and if there's no such abuse of power in the first place, they wouldnt have even bothered to set up one. the fact that they did, shows some of these interrogators have not been innocent all along......... lots of stories going around for decades for such abuses.

But come think of it, if the police don't make a forced confession, which suspect/criminal would be so willing to confess to their crimes?

Unless there are evidence that really proves beyond doubt.

 

Sit inside aircon room and endure for 48 hours, if you don't say anything, they still got to release you after that.

 

Wonder if they don't permit you 7 hours of sleep during dentention considered "torture" a not?

maybe last time in the 60s, they really use violence to force confessions..

but now.. moving on to the the 21st century, i'm quite sure they exercise new methods aldy la..

not very sure, but i remember i tried to kgeng as much as i could.... (i dont have tatoos, i siamed lots of things/arrowing by nature when i wore green)

in some countries, maybe the interrogators shaft the contents of the toilet bowl into the mouth..... the guy would gladly prefer the brush then

Actually, alot of people might laugh all these off as urban legend, but a few have been through certain branches of the SPF will know whether it happens.

 

Of course, my comments are limited to the period of the 2000s and before.

 

 

Nowadays, they just have to pile discomfort after discomfort on the suspect and take turns fcuking with his/her mind.

 

Unless you know your legal rights and have balls of steel, then you will not crack. But that's only like less than 5% of the people they bring in.

 

No need cameras. They will either get your signed confession or they won't.
