I think all will be scrapped all cover under insurance

 

It depends. It may not be covered under insurance though. It really depends on whether Honda did purchase coverage for natural disasters.

What if the car is able to start after these damage, will it bring smiles or tears?

 

Most of the time, the car will be able to start w/o any problem. The real problem is rust and corrosion.

 

IMHO, car manufacturers will probably salvage whatever they can. Engine and transmission is still usable. Whatever they could not salvage will have to write off.

Btw, if Honda really sell these cars at dirt cheap prices, I would want to get it though. Rip everything apart and then rebuilt it from scratch. Chance to strengthen the chassis. Maybe even drop in a K20A...lol....

How to avoid?

Now still can buy 2009 and 2010 YOM Honda from AD.

 

You avoid for two years till 2013......who knows you may still endup buying 2011 n 2012 old stocks from Thai!!

 

Best is.......avoid forever.

I got a friend in TH, jus book a Jazz - they were told it will not be a "Flood-In" car & HONDA cars sold will be covered by full extented warranty, still have to wait until 2012 April to get car.........
