The centre black part should be a separate part. Google for the parts list which are available off usa websites.

I recently had to change my NX front bumper due to damage. Only the painted outer part was changed by Borneo. The centre spindle grill portion was reused. I can identify as my original had some small chips.

For IS, the grille of the Executive and F Sport is different in shape.

Need to change the grille, bumper and license plate holder. The L logo can be reused, along with the front sensors.

The F Sport is really much better looking.

Even the curvature of the spindle grille is different when viewed from the side. I don't have a side comparison but here's the front for your reference.

Ya I know ah it looks way nicer. The whole thing cost about $1500 right.

It's less than 2k I think, cos that's the amount settled by my workshop with the party that reversed into me in a hit and run.

All original parts from stockist. Don't buy those China or Taiwan bumpers. The fit is not nice one.

Lexus sales person are not very pushy and kinda relaxed, mine even put in black n white that after putting deposit (i think was 5k) if I change my mind within a month (i think so) he will refund full deposit (no questions asked)

His name is Mike in his mid 50's

and yes he went many extra miles for me back then

But then again chemistry is all about how each other feels about each others body language/ communication style

deposit 5k so little, my friends and mine all deposit 23k

If im not wrong, the FL IS300 grille can be change w/o changing the bumper. As for where to get the grille, no idea. Taobao?

Can PM and share the cost of your IS300? Trying to compare used and new... TIA!

Sorry I don't know cos the 300 bumper is different from mine.

23k is booking fee. All can be paid via credit card.

Some AD only allow max 12k via credit card and the rest via cash

I think buy new is better cos the depre is similar to the used ones.

Unless the used car has features that new ones don't have..like nice forged wheels, ICE, exhaust.. etc.

Hi people

noob here.

my 2009 is250 coe is coming to the end, am in two minds about renewing it for another 10yrs (considering the current low coe) or getting a new car, i was advised by a xiao chia friend that jap car may not run smoothly pass 10yrs without major repair costs eg gearbox replacement / engine overhaul.

would be grateful for any view / comments on the pros n cons of extending a 10year old is250?

many thanks in advance :-)

And I thought people like to bash conti cars for being unreliable, cannot extend COE else repair until jialat jialat. End up Japanese car people also say the same thing.

End of the day, you put in the effort to maintain the car and it will run well for a long time. You skimp and save on every small thing, don't kp when it breaks down halfway in morning peak hour traffic.

Hi bro Lexusers,

Recently I am experiencing some errors when connected Sportify to Lexus factor fitted head unit via Bluetooth.

The head unit won’t reflect the same tract/song title that my phone is playing. So I requested for software factory restore during my last servicing with Borneo Motor. But still can’t resolve the issues. The Advisor explanation is could be software not up-to-date but he don’t recommend to purchase the new software as the price is too steep and might not resolve the issues?

Does any of the Brother here has experienced the same issues as me? Please shares of you have any solution. Thanks

Saw something interesting from Reddit that applies to Toyotas and Lexuses since they share the same factory production system:

"The biggest example I can think of is that every Toyota vehicle is built 100% correctly from start to finish. As an example, if you're a Toyota line assembly worker and you discover a mistake that was made earlier in the assembly process, you hit a button on your station and it brings the entire assembly line to a halt. A special team of workers responds to your location and they attempt to fix whatever the mistake may have been. If they can fix it on the spot, great, the line is restarted and the car continues to be assembled to be sold. If they cannot fix it right there, the entire car assembly is taken off the line by a giant robot and moved to another area for analysis on "why/how" the mistake was made so its root cause can be fixed so that going forward no car they build ever has that problem again. They then rebuild what was supposed to be that car completely and correctly. It is awe inspiring.

GM on the other hand, same scenario, you're a line assembly worker and find a mistake from before your station. The proper action with GM is to simply hang a paper tag on the mistake section and continue your work. Then when the car gets to the end of the line, a special team is there to inspect the car and fix any tags on the car. But the thing is, the car could have twenty separate little tags on it and every car built that day could have the same problem and therefore tag that needs fixed. So a top of the line Corvette ZR1 could be built with tons of errors but a Camry will be built with none.

TL;DR: GM builds broken cars that need to be fixed before they can be sold. Toyota builds as close to perfect cars, the first time."
