From what I have heard, I think its best fo avoid 2nd hand BMWs, esp those after 5yrs as its not very reliable.

I bought my 5 yrs old E60 @ 55K mileage and it's now 7th years old clocked almost 80K now, not much problem. Maybe I'm lucky, but usually higher mileage equate to higher wear & tear. Intend to drive it till 10th years if it permits coz my depreciation each year only $8K and will collect $30K+ PARF @ 10th yr mark. In 3yrs time, I go for 2nd hand F10 which is costly now @ >$200K, will pick up when the huge initial depreciation is absorbed.

do you know what's the problem? personally, i'll be very fed up with "must hook on to AD's computer then can find out" problems.

I'm driving a company 5 series, first driven by boss then by other executives before me. Is this considered 2nd hand BMW?

The car is more than 5 years old but, not only it does not give any trouble, it is also alot cheaper to maintain and run as compared to my personal car, a Subaru.
